Assumptions & method
Contributions arrive at the end of each equal pay period. Cash and investments compound at constant effective annual rates. On a scheduled purchase date, all cash is invested after subtracting brokerage, only if cash exceeds the fee. Uninvested cash remains in the final total. Monthly means twelve equal periods per year, not exact calendar dates.
The comparison covers every whole-payday interval up to one year, plus keeping everything in savings. The highest projected balance is only the best of these schedules under your inputs and horizon. Rates are illustrative assumptions, not forecasts. Tax, inflation, trading spreads, market movements and other fees are excluded. *Parcel column shows contributions only; actual purchases include accrued cash interest.
This is a mathematical scenario tool, not a recommendation to invest or select a product. Inspired by InvestCalc; this version compares a finite horizon and an explicit savings-only baseline.
