Lay the phone on the surface. "Zero" sets the current tilt as flat — handy for checking relative level on an out-of-level bench.

Hold the phone flat against the surface, long edge along it. Reads tilt from horizontal (0°) up to vertical/plumb (90°).
About this tool
Phone Tools turns your phone's own sensors into a site toolkit — a spirit level and angle finder using the tilt sensor, and a sound-level meter using the microphone. It's best used on a phone, where those sensors exist. Nothing is recorded or uploaded; sensors only start running after you tap to enable them.
How to use it
- Open the tool on your phone for sensor access.
- Choose a tab — Level, Angle or Sound.
- Tap to enable the sensor when prompted.
- Read the live reading on screen.
