About this tool

Sample Prep runs the same five fixes every sample needs — trim, normalise, fade, reverse, pitch or stretch to a target BPM, plus a centre-channel vocal remover, mono fold and resample — across a whole batch of files at once, instead of one at a time in a DAW. Set the recipe once and every file comes out the same way, ready as WAV or MP3. Audio is processed entirely in your browser.

How to use it

Is Sample Prep free?

Yes — processing a single file is free and unlimited.

What does Pro add?

Pro unlocks batch downloads when you process more than one file at a time; single-file processing stays free.

Is my audio uploaded?

No — every file is decoded and processed in your browser and never leaves it.

Can it remove vocals for a karaoke track?

It includes a centre-channel vocal remover, which works reasonably on centre-panned vocals — it isn't a full stem separator.

Centre removal is arithmetic (left minus right), so it also thins anything else mixed dead centre and does nothing to a vocal that was panned or widened. Proper stem separation is a later, model-based tool. Stretch is WSOLA: clean on drums and loops at 50–200 %, smeary beyond. Pitch with "keep length" is stretch plus resample; varispeed changes length like tape. Downloads come one at a time; the browser may ask to allow multiple downloads on "Download all".
