- Whoever holds 3♦ leads first and must include it.
- Play the same number of cards as the pile, and beat it — or pass.
- Five-card hands rank: straight < flush < full house < four-of-a-kind+1 < straight flush.
- When everyone passes, the last player to play leads a fresh trick.
- First to empty their hand wins.
